Bavaria 38 Specification

HURST POINT YACHT CHARTERS LTD

BAVARIA 38' – 8 berths "DOTTY DOT"

This yacht was new in May 2003 and actually measures 40’8” overall. She has been
across the Channel at least 4 times and has been Maritime Coastguard Agency/Department of
Transport coded for commercial use. This involves approximately 80 safety modifications
being installed, many of which will not be included on a standard yacht.

Bavaria 38 Head on Hurst Point Yacht Charters

She is the three cabin version (twin double stern berths) and is available for bareboat or skippered charter. The Department of Transport certification is for 8 people at Category 2 level. A D.O.T. Cat 2 certificate allows for a passage up to 60 nautical miles from the nearest coast by day or night.
We can honestly say that this boat handles beautifully and can be powered up or down very easily,depending on whether or not you want to take a leisurely cruise or sail her hard. She is very responsive for a boat of her size and a real pleasure to sail.
In addition to the mandatory safety/electronic equipment, she is equipped with many extras such a hot water, two showers, refrigerator, CD player, gas cooker with oven, 240volt sockets etc to make life aboard as pleasurable and as safe as possible. A full list is included below
